Holliday events are underway in Round Rock, Pflugerville and Hutto. The first weekend in December will see several family-friendly, local events ring in the holiday spirit. This list not comprehensive.

Dec. 2

Light Up the Lake returns to Old Settlers Park this year with giant balloons over Bright Lake, floating light displays, live music, holiday displays, food vendors, crafts, a yule log and family activities. 6-9:30 p.m. Free (admission). Dec. 3

The annual Pfestival of Lights and Christmas Parade will take place throughout downtown Pflugerville and feature musical performances, opportunities for photos with Santa Claus, a kids' area and a tree lighting at City Hall. 4-7 p.m. Free (admission). Hutto’s sixth annual Santa Claus Crawl will feature special holiday drink recipes from several downtown businesses. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive attire as they drink and shop downtown. Dec. 4

The First United Methodist Church will host the 28th annual Mistletoe Magic holiday concert to raise funds for Senior Access Texas, an organization that assists in providing support services to area seniors. 6 p.m. Free (admission), donations encouraged.
