The details
Monies used to make these technology upgrades comes from the $125.3 million Proposition B passed by voters in November 2024.
The $1.9 million laptop refresh will replace out-of-warranty staff devices in the spring 2026 semester, district documents show.
About $1.5 million will be used to replace servers at the district level to support a new phone system, including system deployment and migration as well as five years of technology support.
This project will also be carried out in the spring 2026 semester.

Proposition B was one of three propositions approved by RRISD voters in the 2024 bond election.
Voters also approved the $798.3 million Proposition A to fund campus renovations and expansions, as well as Proposition C, which allocated $8.6 million to fine arts facility upgrades.
The $65.9 million Proposition D to fund athletic improvements was not approved.
