The details
District officials will upgrade phones on campuses with the Avaya phone system for $3.1 million. The contract will include handsets, deployment services, software and five years of support, according to the district.
For its content filter system, RRISD will purchase updated hardware, professional services and seven years of support for Content Keeper. The cost of the contract is $860,755.61.
Both projects are funded by the 2024 bond.
How we got here
When RRISD voters approved $932 million in bond-funded projects, improvements and upgrades to technology and technology infrastructure in the district were included in the $125.3 million Proposition B.
