The details
This is the third time the district has voted to extend Azaiez's contract, with the first being in 2022 and the second in 2023.
In 2023, the board voted to extend his contract through 2026.
How we got here
RRISD first hired Azaiez in June 2021, after the departure of former Superintendent Steve Flores in 2020.
