The Round Rock ISD board of trustees will hold a public hearing and potentially take action regarding the district's tax rate for the 2024-25 fiscal year Sept. 19.

The hearing for the tax rate is set for Sept. 19 in the lecture hall of the 100 wing at Round Rock High School, 300 N. Lake Creek Drive, Round Rock, at 5:30 p.m.

District administrators are proposing a total tax rate of $0.8931 per $100 of valuation for the 2024-25 fiscal year, which is $0.0259 lower than the previous fiscal year's rate of $0.9190 per $100 of valuation.

The total tax rate includes:
  • $0.7101 per $100 of valuation to fund the district's maintenance and operations for the year
  • $0.1830 per $100 of valuation to fund the district's debt payments, such as bonds
