Round Rock ISD will hold information sessions July 9 and July 23 for community members interested in running for a seat in the November board election.

What you need to know

Both information sessions will be held virtually at 6 p.m. over Zoom, according to the district.

Participants will have the opportunity to speak with a certified Lone Star Governance coach, who will provide an opportunity for them to learn, discuss and ask questions about potentially becoming a trustee of the district.

What's next?


The terms for places 1, 2 and 7 on the RRISD board of trustees will expire in November. These seats are occupied by Place 1 trustee Chuy Zárate, Place 2 trustee Mary Bone and Place 7 trustee Danielle Weston.

The filing window to appear on the ballot in the 2024 election will open July 20 and close Aug. 19 at 5 p.m., per the Texas Secretary of State's Office.
