Austin Community College's Round Rock campus is set to undergo about $3.5 million in renovations to improve services available to students later this year.

What you need to know

A renovation to the student affairs center inside Building 1000 at ACC's Round Rock is slated to start later this year and be completed in fall 2025, per project information from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Sydney Pruitt, ACC's senior media relations coordinator, said the renovations to this part of the campus are similar to those at the community college system's Highland campus that were completed last year.

Pruitt said the renovations will create two outlets for student programs, tying them together in a central location:
  • Student Welcome Center: This space will allow future, new and current students and their families to explore the college’s programs, receive one-on-one guidance and learn about free support services.
  • Student Care Center: This center will act as an access point for services supporting needs such as access to food and connection to community resources, including housing, transportation, legal aid and family support.
What's next

Pruitt said the design of the project, contracted to Pfluger Architects, is nearing completion, and next steps include hiring a contractor for the project.
