Round Rock ISD officials move forward with Stony Point High School cafeteria expansion

Round Rock ISD officials set in motion a 286-seat expansion to the cafeteria of Stony Point High School on Sept. 21, bringing the 2018 bond project one step closer to addressing the school's need for more lunch room capacity.

District officials moved forward with the use of $2.75 million in bond funds to expand the existing cafeteria to accommodate a growing student population. The expansion will include the partial enclosing of an existing courtyard. It will bring the capacity in line with what is similarly available at other high schools within RRISD, district documents show.

Design, construction of Round Rock ISD's Early College High School approved

Round Rock ISD’s Early College High School is one step closer to realization on the Austin Community College’s Round Rock campus.

District officials on Sept. 21 approved agreements with ACC, including a ground lease for 2.2 acres on campus, and the use of 2018 bond funds for the design and construction of a campus to house the high school that is currently located in multiple portable classrooms on the property. This will be the first phase of the campus.
