A lockdown at Round Rock High School and McNeil High School on Sept. 28 has been lifted after authorities determined an anonymous threat was not credible.
What happened?
Dianne Foletto, RRISD's associate director of marketing communications, told Community Impact via email that the high schools were placed under lockdown around 3 p.m. for roughly an hour as the Round Rock ISD Police Department investigated an anonymous threat. There were no reports of injuries, Foletto said.
What parents should know
Parents looking for information about what is happening when their child's school goes into a lockdown will receive information directly from the district, Foletto said. When RRISD campuses go into lockdown, Foletto said the district works to verify the available information and alert parents and guardians as soon as possible.
