Round Rock ISD will open its doors to more than 46,000 students for the first day of the 2023-24 school year Aug. 15.
RRISD elementary, middle and high schools will start five minutes earlier beginning with the 2023-24 school year. Start times for special and prekindergarten programs, such as Pear and Apple sessions, Together We Can, VISTA, the Child Development Center, and Early Childhood Special Education, will not change.
Looking ahead
Check out some important dates for RRISD ISD students.
- The first long weekend for students will be Sept. 2-4.
- Thanksgiving break is a full week Nov. 20-24.
- Winter break will start Dec. 14, and classes will resume Jan. 9.
- The last day of school is May 23.
