Round Rock ISD staff will be paid for closures Jan. 31-Feb. 3 due to Winter Storm Mara.

School board officials approved a resolution to compensate all district staff for closures resulting from bad weather during this time, set to expire at the end of July. RRISD Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez said during the Feb. 9 called meeting that this would allow the district to compensate staff should there be any additional bad weather days.

All campuses in the district were closed Jan. 31-Feb. 3 as storm debris and power outages prevented students from being able to attend safely, according to the district. While the Forest North Elementary School still lacked power Feb. 6, all other RRISD campuses reopened that day.
