Round Rock ISD announced the hiring of Dennis Covington as the district's new chief financial officer Aug. 26. Covington is expected to start working for the district before early October, according to Round Rock ISD.

“I am very excited to be a part of the leadership team of Round Rock ISD,” Covington said. “As the CFO, my role is to support the instruction and academic achievement of our students in the most efficient and economical way possible. I look forward to continuing those efforts on behalf of the students, staff and community of Round Rock ISD.”

Covington serves at the CFO for Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools.
