Outback Steakhouse is planting roots in Round Rock with a grand opening this month.

In a nutshell

The Australian-themed restaurant chain housed its first Round Rock location at 1651 S. I-35 before announcing its relocation.

The old location held its final day of business on Dec. 1.

Customers can find steaks, seafood, burgers, sandwiches, salads and appetizers such as the Bloomin’ Onion.

The impact

The new location will provide over 125 jobs to the community and $5,000 of grand reopening proceeds will go toward the Texas Children’s Baptist Home, as stated in a press release.

The Round Rock Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the occasion on Dec. 11 at 10:30 a.m. Community members can anticipate free merchandise, a chance to win Outback Steakhouse for a year and more offers.
