Construction of a large commercial development in central Round Rock kicked off May 9.

The Sunrise Commerce Center, located at 2380 Oakmont Drive, Round Rock, is under construction by Adolfson & Peterson Construction for developer IDI Logistics. Sitting on 37 acres of land, the project is planned to bring 465,786 square feet of new commercial property. The center will be constructed in two phases, with the first slated for completion this fall.

“Central Texas continues to see a demand for industrial space, and with its easy highway access and strategic location, Sunrise Commerce Center will provide what users are looking for most,” said Zack Rogers, vice president/project executive of the AP Gulf States region, in a release. “This project is a great way for AP to continue expanding and growing in Austin and Central Texas.”

Announcements about what businesses might occupy the tilt-wall shell buildings are forthcoming, according to a representative of the company.
