Round Rock-area students looking to gain experience in city operations can choose from several summer internship opportunities.
Starting at $16 per hour, applications for high school, undergraduate and graduate-level internship programs across different departments within the city of Round Rock opened Feb. 24.
Applicants can choose from internship programs in the following departments:
- Transportation
- Finance
- Human resources
- Information
- Information technology support
- Information technology, geographic information systems
- Communications and marketing
- Police department (civilian)
- Planning and development services
- General services, building construction
- Library summer reading program
- Sports management and tourism, multimedia
- Sports management and tourism, summer youth camp
To qualify, applicants must be enrolled full-time as a high school senior, or a full-time student or recent graduate of an accredited college or university. Undergraduate and graduate applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be able to provide an unofficial transcript and resume.
