Knowmadics, a Virginia-based defense company specializing in software, integrated solutions and training, announced Dec. 14 the opening of its first Texas office near downtown Round Rock.

The company will occupy space in coworking facility Office Evolution at 551 S. I-35, Ste. 300, Round Rock. Knowmadics Co-founder and CEO Paul Maguire said his company selected Round Rock for their new office to "hire people, [and] find new clients and new partners" for the business.

"I don't think in the 30 years I've been in business, I have found it easier to create a new place to do business [than in Round Rock]," Maguire said at an event announcing the launch.

Maguire also said due to Round Rock's business-friendliness and growing local demand, he found it difficult to actually find a place to locate a Texas office.

"[Do] you know how hard it is to find a space to do business in and run right now?" Maguire said. "That's an indication of how great things are."

Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan highlighted the importance of a strong business community to the city's well-being in ensuring they represent local values.

"Business plays such an important role in our community, and a lot of people don't have those relationships with the public-private partnerships," Morgan said. "But when you have people coming in, and you meet people to make sure they act your values, you want to make sure that they are a good fit in this community."
