Staff incentives and academic calendars are on the agenda for the Round Rock ISD board of trustee's Feb. 17 meeting along with an item related to Superintendent Hafedh Azaiez, who remains on administrative leave.

In November, the board approved half of a one-time $1,000 retention and incentive bonus for all district staff. The second half of that bonus will go before the board as an action item, and if approved, will fulfill the total amount of the incentive proposed by the district's suspended superintendent.

The board will also consider a refresh of the RRISD District of Innovation plan and calendar options for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 academic years. If the board approves the DOI plan, it can also approve calendars that have earlier start dates. No staff and student holidays observed by the district are expected to be affected by these calendars.

In executive session, the board will also consider 11 separate items, with some being specifically requested by places 2 and 7 trustees Mary Bone and Danielle Weston. Some of the executive session items—1, 4 and 6—are specific to the matter of the district's superintendent. In summation, the board will discuss an internal audit report and complaints against the board and superintendent; consult with legal counsel about the status of the board's investigation into a protective order lodged against the superintendent in a Travis County District Court; and consult with an attorney regarding the superintendent's contract and employment.
