The Round Rock Veterans Monument Committee will host a Memorial Day service at the Round Rock Veterans Monument on Memorial Day, May 31, at 11 a.m., and the entire community is invited to attend.

Memorial Day and Tolling the Boats Ceremony

The American Legion Post 447 will host a ceremony honoring veterans throughout history and commemorate a new mural that has been painted on the Post itself. A new rock garden will be installed in honor of these veterans.



A tolling of the boats ceremony will follow, honoring the 4,000 U.S. submariners lost in the line of duty since 1900.

The Murph Challenge at CrossFit Hutto

Crossfit Hutto will be hosting a fundraising event for the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation, presented by Forged, on Memorial Day. The scholarship foundation is named for a fallen Navy SEAL, and individual scholarships have been awarded across the country. The full “Murph” workout includes a 1-mile run, 100 sit-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats followed by another 1-mile run. Participants will have the option of choosing between a full, half and quarter Murph.
