The city of Hutto will host a virtual public meeting for its upcoming FM 1660 transportation project to help gauge residents' feedback on planned improvements. The meeting will be held Aug. 11 at 6 p.m. and will be available until Aug. 26 for viewers to access here.

Work is proposed to help reduce congestion along FM 1660 at three signalized intersections as well as to promote safety and mobility along the roadway. The intersections up for improvements are FM 1660 at Limmer Loop, FM 1660 North at Hwy. 79 and FM 1660 South at Hwy. 79.

The FM 1660 project was included as part of the city's 2018 bond package, in which $70 million was allocated to roads and drainage.

Additional right of way will need to be secured for the project, per city documents; however, city staff do not anticipate a need for displacing any residential or nonresidential structures.

The Aug. 11 meeting will feature an audio and visual overview of the project with a separate link available for a Spanish version of the presentation.
