Round Rock residents in Bradford Park, Forest Ridge, Oak Bluff Estates, Remington Heights and Rolling Ridge will see street maintenance underway in their neighborhoods as soon as this summer.

Round Rock City Council on April 23 approved contracts with Alpha Paving and Texas Materials for repairs to curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways and pavement totaling $7.87 million.

In addition, work will include improvements to larger roadways, such as sections of Old Settlers Boulevard, Sunrise Road, Mays Street, Gattis School Road, A.W. Grimes Boulevard, Double Creek Drive, Dell Way and Forest Creek Drive.

Construction is expected to start in late summer and finish in the fall.

Approximately $4.3 million in street maintenance funding is expected to be cut from the fiscal year 2019-20 budget due to financial impacts of the coronavirus. However, the projects approved in the April 23 vote are not among the ones anticipated to be cut, according to information provided by the city.
