Pflugerville City Council unanimously voted in favor of postponing its May transportation bond election until November at council’s April 2 meeting. The $96.7 million package, solely dedicated to roadway infrastructure projects, marked the largest in city history.

The decision follows Travis County’s March 19 announcement that the county would not support May elections, due to coronavirus concerns and the need for implementing social distancing measures. Following Travis County’s decision, municipalities within the county still had to take individual action on the status of their elections.

Previously scheduled for May 2, the postponed Pflugerville bond election will now be held on Nov. 3.
