1. University Boulevard widening
The city of Round Rock plans to widen the road to a six-lane, divided roadway from Sunrise Road to I-35. The median will control left turns, which will increase traffic flow, according to city officials. The plan also involves adding dedicated right- and left-turn lanes. The city began acquiring right of way in June.

2. Limmer Loop reconstruction
The city of Hutto will participate with Williamson County in the maintenance and reconstruction of Limmer Loop. This project will update and repair portions of the road from CR 110 to Hwy. 79 that have fallen into disrepair. The county has also offered to bid and manage the projects for this 5-mile stretch of Limmer. The city of Hutto will be responsible for funding projects on the 2-mile portion of Limmer that has been annexed into the city limits. The project was awarded to Angel Brothers Management, who were given a notice to proceed in mid June.

3. Wilke Ridge Lane closure
Vehicles will be detoured around Wilke Ridge Lane in July as the city of Pflugerville works on a utility improvement project to add water transmission connections and improve pressure in the western portion of the city. Originally this project was scheduled for April but was pushed back to July when there is less traffic. Though the road is closed, the street itself will not be worked on, according to city officials.

4. RM 620 improvements
The city of Round Rock, working with TxDOT and Williamson County, plans to add safety improvements to RM 620 from Deepwood Drive to I-35. The project includes a bridge to carry RM 620 traffic over the Union Pacific railroad and Chisholm Trail Road. In order to maintain access to businesses and residences in the vicinity of the proposed bridge, at-grade local access roads will be constructed between Lake Creek Drive and Chisholm Trail. A second bridge is proposed to carry RM 620 traffic over Lake Creek. The city is expecting environmental clearance in the summer.

5. Pfluger Farm Lane
The city of Pflugerville will extend the road from near its intersection with Pflugerville Parkway to just south of its Town Center Drive intersection next to the 24 Hour Fitness within the Stone Hill Town Center. Currently the road is incomplete.

6. La Frontera development
Round Rock will improve the existing roadway conditions and road surfaces of portions of Parker Road, Kouri Avenue and Sundance Parkway in the La Frontera development. The city will reconstruct and rehabilitate the roads, which will include environmental investigations and geotechnical studies. Sundance Parkway is closed from the I-35 frontage road to Parker, as crews are rebuilding the four-lane road. Shoppers can access the shopping center through driveways along the frontage road. This phase of construction is expected to last throughout July.
