The holiday season brings with it construction work throughout Round Rock. Here are 11 closures to be aware of this week:
- The inside lane of the I-35 northbound feeder road will be closed between Mays Crossing and McNeil Road from 7 p.m to 5 a.m. through Tuesday night and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights.
- The turnarounds at McNeil Road will be closed in both directions from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Tuesday night and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights.
- There will be multiple lane closures in both directions along I-35, including rolling lane closures between RM 620 and Westinghouse Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday night. I-35 will be reduced to one lane at times with ramps closed as needed.
- Various lane closures will be in effect on the feeder roads in both directions at U.S. 79 and I-35 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Tuesday through Thursday nights.
- The turnaround at U.S. 79 will be closed in both directions from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday nights.
- I-35 will be reduced to one southbound lane under FM 3406 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday night.
- I-35 southbound Exit 254 at FM 3406 will be closed through Tuesday, Dec. 12. The Texas Department of Transportation is encouraging drivers to detour via Exit 256 at RM 1431.
- U.S. 79 will be closed in both directions between Mays Street and Chisholm Trail Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday nights.
- RM 620 will have various lanes closed with short term full closures in both directions at Steiner Ranch Boulevard from 8 p.m. Monday until midnight. TxDOT is encouraging drivers to detour east and west on Steiner Ranch Boulevard as needed during these periods.
- McNeil Road will be closed under I-35 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Tuesday night. TxDOT is encouraging drivers to detour via the I-35 feeder road to the nearest crossover.
- The inside lane of McNeil Road will be closed in both directions from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights.
