The “Rumble in the Ville” flag football game with Pflugerville police officers and the Pflugerville Falcons Special Olympic athletes has been postponed because of weather. The game is now scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at the Hendrickson High School football stadium, located at 2905 FM 685. “We invite the public to join us in supporting our Falcon athletes and are excited for the chance to show off our police department’s flag football skills,” Police Chief Jessica Robledo said. “This game will be as much as fun for the spectators as it will be for the participants.” Admission will be $5 for adults and $2 for students. All proceeds will go toward purchasing new shirts for the Falcons’ future competitions. “This event will recognize and celebrate our athletes as well as continue our wonderful partnership that has been developed with the Pflugerville Police Department,” Amy Wiesenhutter, Pflugerville ISD Special Olympics Coordinator, said in a statement. The Falcons also participate in other sports including golf, aquatics, bowling, basketball, track and soccer.
