The second phase of the Rowe Lane widening and safety project—from Commons Parkway/Treyburn Lane to Penny Royal Drive—will close next week through November.
All through traffic must exit Rowe Lane in advance of the road closure. Eastbound traffic will turn right on Treyburn Lane to Speidel Drive and may use Jackies Ranch Boulevard to Martin Lane to get back to Rowe Lane.
Westbound traffic will turn on Martin Lane prior to the closure of Rowe Lane at Penny Royal Drive.
City officials said the detours will likely add to commute time.
The reconstruction of the existing two lanes includes the addition of shoulders to the road. The project is a cost-sharing safety project with Travis County bond funds of $1.46 million, approved by voters.
