Round Rock has begun demolition on properties on Briarwood and Glenwood streets for future improvements to RM 620 as part of the RM 620 Safety Improvement Project.

The overarching purpose of the project is to improve safety and enhance mobility on RM 620 from Deep Wood Drive to I-35.

Once construction is completed, a bridge will carry traffic from RM 620 over Union Pacific Railroad and Chisholm Trail Road. In addition, the city will construct local access roads between Lake Creek Drive and Chisholm Trail Road.

A second bridge is proposed to carry additional RM 620 traffic over Lake Creek Drive.

The demolition contractor is requesting no vehicles park close to the bank building beginning May 3.

The city is forecasting construction will begin in mid- to late-2018 and will last slightly longer than two years.

The Stagecoach Inn will not be impacted by the demolition phase of construction.
