Daniel “Danny” Wright Caldwell is no stranger to the Austin-area barbecue scene. After 40 years and several locations across the city, Danny’s BBQ is in the midst of relocating once again, Caldwell told Community Impact Newspaper on Sept. 22. Here is the latest update for Danny's BBQ as well as three recently opened area businesses.

RELOCATION | Danny’s BBQ

Until early September, Danny’s BBQ was located on the patio of Hanovers Draught Haus in downtown Pflugerville.

“The same BBQ trailer that I started with in 1992 being one of the first food trailers in the city of Austin, is being reborn,” owner Daniel Caldwell wrote in a Facebook post. “Getting a total remake coming soon and will be providing the best barbecue as always.”

Caldwell said his trailer is currently being remodeled and that he hopes to be operational within a month. He plans for the food truck to be parked full-time at a location in the Austin-Pflugerville area but has not yet finalized the site. 512-589-0479. www.dannysbbqsauce.com
