Cody Collins has been named the city of Pflugerville's new information technology director, following Pflugerville City Council's unanimous vote to appoint him to the position at its April 14 meeting. According to an April 14 city news release, Collins will oversee the city's IT department, including the installation and maintenance of technology, network infrastructure, and related platforms and systems for city facilities.

Collins has relocated to Pflugerville from Louisiana State University, where he spent more than 10 years as a network analyst and IT manager, per the release. He earned his bachelor's degree in information systems and decision sciences from Louisiana State University and has received certification in Security+, AWS Cloud Practitioner and Cisco CCNA, among others.
