Thousands visited Saturday’s annual Hutto Crawfish Festival. Volunteer Michael Smith said the weather cooperated and the number of visitors through the vending area topped last year’s event.

Crawfish, corn and potatoes were the main draw, but dozens of vendors showed their wares and offered other items to eat. There were carnival-style games and rides for children, music and other entertainment.

The event serves as a fundraiser for the Hutto Area Chamber of Commerce.
