Recent Pflugerville ISD graduates who played on one of the district's high school baseball teams will step up to bat one final time.

Dell Diamond will host The Pfinal Game, a nine-inning contest designed to give seniors one final competition with their teammates after their final high school seasons prematurely ended due to the coronavirus. The event, scheduled for 7 p.m. on June 30, will include graduates from all four of PfISD's high schools: Connally High School, Hendrickson High School, Pflugerville High School and Weiss High School.

Thirty-one student athletes will be recognized as part of the event, while three seniors are unable to participate due to injuries. Two teams of 14 players will compete, with coaches from all four schools volunteering to guide athletes a final time, according to a news release.

The Pfinal Game was organized by parents of student athletes and is not affiliated with PfISD, the release states. Tickets are available here, with occupancy limited to less than 25% of stadium capacity to adhere to social distancing provisions.
