In honor of the class of 2020, the city of Round Rock will light up its historic water tower with the colors of Round Rock ISD's high schools, the district confirmed May 5. The lighting show will begin May 15 and run through May 23.

From May 15-17, the lighting show will cycle between all seven of RRISD's high schools on a five-minute rotation to allow for photo opportunities for parents and students. The lighting show will repeat every 30 minutes, said Dianne Foletto, RRISD's associate director of marketing, in a May 5 email.

From May 18-23, the tower will be lit up each night for one of the seven high schools, with designated days assigned to each school. The lighting schedule is as follows:
  • May 18: Red lights in honor of Success High School, Early College High School
  • May 19: Yellow lights in honor of Stony Point High School
  • May 20: Blue lights in honor of McNeil High School
  • May 21: Purple lights in honor of Cedar Ridge High School
  • May 22: Orange lights in honor of Westwood High School
  • May 23: Maroon lights in honor of Round Rock High School
Along with the lights display, the city will also place a congratulations banner downtown in recognition of the students, parents and families from the class of 2020.
