With balloons and commemorative lawn signs in tow, RRISD high school principals stopped by the homes of each valedictorian and salutatorian to deliver the news of their rankings in person. Photos of the students and their loved ones were taken in celebration of their achievements, with well wishes delivered to each recognized.
Grades earned through the end of the fall 2019 semester were used to calculate students' grade point averages. The grading period for rankings ended in December.
Those GPAs were used to determine rank in class, valedictorian, salutatorian and top 10%, campus officials confirmed April 30.
