Round Rock ISD has canceled all activities, events and usage of school facilities from non-district organizations beginning Mach 15 due to coronavirus concerns, the district announced in a March 13 news release.

The cancellations pertain to a variety of activities—including University Interscholastic League activities, special events, performances and presentations. The UIL has also suspended all of its events running from March 16 through at least March 29, according to the release.

"Throughout spring break, we will be working with our public health agencies regarding decisions on school closures and other responses related to the COVID-19 pandemic," the release stated. "We will inform our community by Thursday, March 19, if the return date for students or staff is later than March 23."

RRISD maintenance and staff will be cleaning and disinfecting all facilities during spring break and asks staff and students not to visit school facilities from March16-22. All facilities and buses will be treated with "hospital-grade disinfectant," according to the district.
