The Round Rock ISD's board of trustees officially adopted its property tax rate at its Sept. 26 meeting. The adoption comes more than three months after the district approved a $446.3 million budget at its June 20 meeting for fiscal year 2019-20, which began July 1.

Round Rock ISD voted 6-0 to adopt a tax rate of $1.2348 per $100 of taxable value, broken down into $0.97 for general operating and $0.2648 for debt service. Board member Amber Feller was not present at the Sept. 26 meeting.

The now-adopted tax rate marks a 3.76% decrease compared to the FY 2018-19 rate as well as a reduction on taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by roughly $37.91, per district documents.
