As the school year approaches, it is time to start thinking about one of the most important parts of a student's day: lunch. The application for free and reduced-price meals is officially available here in English, Spanish and Vietnamese and is available for students throughout the state.

In Pflugerville ISD, all students will receive printed copies of the forms once the school year begins.

Throughout the state, new applications are required each year in order to remain eligible for the service. The food services department reviews applications and determines eligibility based on income levels and number of family members.

Eligibility is determined based on families who have income at or less than 130 percent of the federal poverty guidelines for free meals and families with incomes at or less than 185 percent of federal poverty guidelines for reduced-price meals. Eligibility for these meals differs depending on number of household members.
