The development, which is not yet named, includes plans for a community center, parks, playscape areas and trails, Havel said. “Hutto has seen a ton of growth," he said. "As Round Rock approaches build-out, this [area] is really the next step, especially in terms of affordability and location.” Havel said he envisions the development to be a destination community for the Hutto area. “Our vision is for a place that invites people to gather and put down roots,” Havel said in the release. Home sales are expected to begin in 2020. Prices are projected to start in the low $200,000s range, according to the release. "We are excited to see new investments taking shape in one of the first growth corridors that the city opened up after we extended Ed Schmidt from Limmer Loop to Chandler Road in partnership with the county," Hutto City Manager Odis Jones told Community Impact Newspaper on April 10.
