Round Rock, Pflugerville and Hutto each saw positive upticks in year-over-year sales tax revenue collections from September 2019 to September 2020, according to the latest release of statewide data.

In Round Rock, roughly $7.6 million in sales tax revenue was collected in September as compared to approximately $7.5 million in September 2019. The additional sales tax revenue marks a 2.25% increase over September 2019.

In the year to date, $65.5 million in sales tax funds have been reported in Round Rock, versus $64.7 million at the same point in 2019. Overall, 2020 year-to-date figures represent a 1.34% increase as compared to 2019.

For Pflugerville, nearly $1.8 million in sales tax was collected during September, up from $1.5 million in September 2019. The uptick is reflected as a 16.13% increase from September 2019.

Just over $14 million in sales tax funds have been collected year-to-date in 2020 as compared to $11.9 million between January and September 2019. The additional $2 million in yearly sales tax revenue collected thus far in 2020 equate to a 17.18% increase over year-to-date figures from September 2019.


Hutto reported sales tax revenue of more than $652,000 in September 2020, a 36.51% increase over September 2019's collection of nearly $478,000. For 2020 year-to-date collections, $5.4 million in sales tax revenue has been received as of September, nearly a 29% increase over the $4.2 million year-to-date figures reported in September 2019.
