The city of Round Rock is launching a new utility billing system on Tuesday, March 6.

The new bill pay interface, RRTXWater, will allow residents to track and compare water usage with real-time data. The system will initially only be available at RRTXWater.com, but the city plans to eventually release a mobile app.

Once the new system launches, there will no longer be transaction fees for any method of payment, according to the city.

No online utility bill payments are currently being accepted but residents can pay their bills by check or money order at the drop-off box located at City Hall, 221 E. Main St., or by mail. The city's utility billing office will be closed until March 6 to transition to the new system.

Due to the transition, the city said they will suspend late fees and disconnects for the month of March. Regular fees and disconnects for non-payment will resume April 1.

Once the new system launches, Round Rock residents will be able to pay their utility bills in the following ways:

  • Online payment: Residents will be able to pay their utility bills online at RRTXWater.com beginning March 6 with a one-time payment or by setting up an auto-pay account.

  • Direct bank draft: These payments will continue to be processed as normal.

  • Online banking: Customers will be issued a new account number to update their online bill pay.

  • 24-hour deposit box: Checks or money orders can be deposited at the drop-off box located at City Hall, 221 E. Main St.

  • Lobby or walk-in: Residents can make cash payments between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at City Hall, 221 E. Main St.
