Pflugerville City Council selected the city's interim city manager out of executive session at its regularly scheduled meeting Thursday.
Trey Fletcher will serve as Pflugerville interim City Manager, effective immediately, earning a $2,000 a month stipend. Fletcher has served as Pflugerville's acting city manager since Feb. 4 after then-city manager Brandon Wade resigned to take a position with Gulf Coast Water Authority.

Pflugerville City Council held numerous interviews with potential candidates for the position.

“When you are looking for the person that has the city experience and can manage a diverse population and council, that’s a pretty small list,” Mayor pro tem Omar Peña said after a Jan. 27 executive session.

Pflugerville City Council also selected Caroline Davis as the city's interim municipal judge. Davis has been serving as Associate Municipal Judge and will earn a $1,000 per month stipend with the interim municipal judge position.
