Early voting numbers released when the polls closed at 7 p.m. show Scott Rose leading Dana Wilcott with 193 votes for 70.44 percent of the votes to 81 votes for 29.56 percent for Hutto City Council’s Place 1.

The two were part of a run off after the May 6 election. In that election, Rose had 217 votes, Wilcott had 145 votes and Steven R. Harris had 123 votes. Rose's 44.74 percent fell short of the 50 percent needed when there are three or more candidates, forcing the runoff.

For Place 6, which was vacated when Bettina Jordan suddenly resigned her position during the March 16 City Council meeting, has Terri Grimm in the lead with 198 votes for 73.06 percent, followed by Kris Andrews with 52 votes for 19.19 percent and Jim Morris with 21 votes for 7.75 percent.

Early voting numbers totaled 272 votes at Hutto City Hall, three by mail and one vote at the Williamson County Inner Loop Annex. The 276 total votes were 2.46 percent of Hutto's registered voters, according to Williamson County's election website.
