Jessica Robledo has been named as interim Police Chief for the city of Pflugerville. She will officially be pinned at a ceremony taking place at 2 p.m. Friday at the Pflugerville Justice Center, 1611 E. Pfenning Lane.
Robedo's pinning ceremony will follow the
retirement celebration for outgoing Pflugerville Police Chief Chuck Hooker who
retires after more than 30 years of service.
"Jessica Robledo has the drive, determination, and experience that the Pflugerville Police Department needs to begin implementation of 21st century policing. I am excited that she is available to assist the city during this transition," Pflugerville City Manager Brandon Wade said in a statement.
According to the city of Pflugerville, Robledo has more than 28 years of experience in public service, 13 of which were spent in executive leadership in the Austin Police Department. Robledo retired from the APD in September.
Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo—the former APD police chief—will perform the official pinning of the badge.
