Pflugerville cancelled its
Christmas Parade and Pfestival of Lights, scheduled for Saturday in downtown. The city made the decision based on a weather forecast for thunderstorms.
Downtown shopping specials will continue Saturday, as will the Vintage Christmas at the Heritage House Saturday and Sunday. Heritage House is located at 901 Old Austin Hutto Road, Pflugerville.
Round Rock’s annual
Christmas Family Night is on Main Street, starting 6:30 p.m. tonight. The free event includes the tree lighting, live music, dancers, candle making, game booths, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus.
The city confirmed Friday morning the event will go on rain or shine, unless there are thunderstorms.
In Hutto, the
annual tree lighting at The Gin at the Co-op District is scheduled to take place Saturday from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The tree lighting is followed by music, refreshments, decorating Christmas crafts, singing and, if the weather allows, an outdoor showing of the film, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”
Any further
updates will be published as announced.
