It looks like Saturday will be a chamber of commerce kind of day, perfect for Pflugerville’s Pfamily Pfestival and Expo on Oct. 1.
This marks the 17th year for the free event, sponsored by the Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce and held at Stone Hill Town Center, on Hilltop Commercial Drive south of Cinemark. More than 5,000 people are expected to attend.
“It gets better every year," chamber President and CEO Patricia Gervan-Brown said. “Many people say they didn’t know there are so many businesses in Pflugerville. It’s the largest one-day event connecting businesses to area residents.”
While the event features dozens of area businesses at the expo, Gervan-Brown said other events during the 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. festival will be fun for the whole family.
“There’s an entertainment stage, fire-safety house, pet adoption, helicopters and emergency vehicles,” Gervan-Brown said. “It will be a great day.”
Helicopters from Travis County STAR Flight, the National Guard and the Texas Department of Public Safety will land at the event. The Pflugerville Animal Shelter will host the pet adoption. The chamber asks attendees to leave pets at home.
