Odyssey Technical Solutions has begun construction on a new facility off Mays Street in Round Rock and plans to move into the new 32,000-square-foot building this spring.

“We kept getting bigger and bigger spaces, but this is the first [building we own],” Director of Business Development Larry Broome said. “The pattern of growth has increased, and we are being called upon to do more and more repairs.”

Odyssey, a veteran-owned business, repairs equipment used to manufacture semiconductors and transistors and employs just over 50 staff members in a facility on Gattis School Road in Round Rock’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, Broome said. The new building will allow the company to add 48 repair benches—for a total of 140—and create a large assembly area, he said. Broome said he expects to double the amount of repairs performed in the next two years.

Odyssey also launched into several new markets in 2015, including vacuum coding and the medical industry, Broome said.
