April 1: Lions 5K for the Park

This event benefits the Play for All Abilities park expansion. April 1: Dog Days at Bass Pro

Bass Pro Shops invites customers to bring their dogs to the store for a day of activities. According to Round the Rock, activities include health and wellness checks, microchipping, grooming demonstrations and giveaways. The event will also feature a dog costume contest. April 1: Chisholm Trail Day

The Williamson Museum will host Chisholm Trail Day to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Chisholm Trail and the opening of the new museum at the 1870 Owen House. The event will feature tours of historic buildings, children's activities, cowboy cooking, live music and historic reenactments. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Free. April 1: Reds, Whites and Brews

The second annual event includes tastings from Texas wineries and breweries as well as food from local restaurants and live entertainment. General admission includes 10 wine or beer tastings, 10 food vouchers and a commemorative tasting glass. 5-9 p.m. $40 (general admission).
