Multiple road closures will affect Hutto traffic, according to City Manager James Earp's announcement at a Feb. 6 City Council meeting.
The details
Beginning in January, construction on the Emory Farms Capital Improvement Project caused road closures and detours at the intersection of Alliance Boulevard, Emory Farms Avenue and Schneider Boulevard. The closures will continue until Feb. 27 for Alliance Boulevard north of the YMCA entrance, Emory Farms Avenue east of Alliance Boulevard and Schneider Boulevard west of Alliance Boulevard.
All traffic will continue to be detoured and delayed, according to the city, and drivers should follow posted signage.
There will also be road closures in the Hutto Highlands subdivision to allow for sewer repairs from Feb. 10-March 21. The closures for Hendelson Lane, Colthorpe Lane and Marklawn Lane will take place from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Thursday. Work will occur in the following phases:
- Feb. 10-21: Hendelson Lane
- Feb. 24-March 7: Colthorpe Lane
- March 10-March 21: Marklawn Lane
Residents can check for road closures and other transportation updates on Hutto's alert page.
