The city of Pflugerville began work Sept. 12 on a project to extend Colorado Sand Drive.

Overview

Crews are working on a four-lane divided connection from Copper Mine Drive to the existing Colorado Sand Drive, just north of Lone Star Ranch Boulevard. The project also includes the construction of a roundabout, new sidewalks and shared use paths.

The project is funded through 2018 voter-approved bonds, and Pflugerville City Council approved a contract with Patin Construction LLC for $6.6 million in July. The project is expected to wrap up by the fall of 2025.
