Several roads in Pflugerville's Falcon Pointe subdivision will soon undergo maintenance for pavement preservation.

At a May 24 meeting, Pflugerville City Council approved a $443,411.64 construction contract with Andale Construction, Inc. for the project.

The two areas to be worked on are a cluster of roads west of Falcon Pointe Boulevard and another north of Kelly Lane.

Andale's work will involve applying a pavement sealing solution called HA5 to the roads.

The project is one of several pavement preservation and rehabilitation projects planned as part of the city's pavement maintenance program.

Council also approved the creation of a temporary no parking zone along the roads that will last until the project is complete.

City materials indicate the project is expected to take around 14 days. There is not yet a concrete start date for the project, but city staff said work is expected to begin in August.
