Travis County Emergency Services District No. 2 is working with local nonprofit Backpack Friends and Pflugerville ISD to collect school supplies and backpacks for students in advance of the start of the 2023-24 school year Aug. 15.

A release from ESD 2 states representatives are accepting donations at all five of its fire stations through July 24. The donated supplies will be distributed Aug. 1 at the 2023 Back to School Pfair, the release states.
Suggested donations include:
- Backpacks for all ages
- Markers and crayons
- Construction paper
- Spiral notebooks
- Pencils and erasers
- Scissors
Donations can be made at the following locations in Pflugerville and Austin:
