From a new gas station with an in-house burger joint to a summer camp to a major home furnishing store, several new businesses are coming soon or now open in Pflugerville.

A GMart-Valero convenience store and a Buddha Burger shop opened at the end of May at 1300 W Pflugerville Parkway, Pflugerville. Buddha Burger owner Raaziq Bhimani, whose family owns the new GMart-Valero location, said his burger restaurant sells freshly ground, ultra-premium beef burgers as well as chicken sandwiches, various kinds of french fries and milkshakes. Vegan and vegetarian options, as well as a breakfast menu, will be available by early fall, Bhimani said. Home furnishing retailer Havertys opened its third Austin-area store April 22 at the Stone Hill Town Center in Pflugerville at 18700 Limestone Commercial Drive, Ste. 600. Mexican imports shop SM Boutique held its grand opening the weekend of May 14. Camp Doublecreek is one step closer to opening its new location in Pflugerville. The Round Rock-based camp announced last July it would relocate to a roughly 20-acre site at 3503 Kelly Lane, in Pflugerville. Pflugerville City Council approved a specific-use permit for outdoor commercial recreation and entertainment at a May 10 meeting. The permit will allow Camp Doublecreek to hold entertainment activities and games in an outdoor setting. Camp Doublecreek’s Pflugerville location will open sometime in 2023. The camp will operate at the Round Rock location at 800 Double Creek Drive this summer. www.campdoublecreek.com

Due to construction and permit delays, the Food Box convenience store at 16212 Impact Way, Pflugerville, will likely not open until mid-2023, according to owner Parvez Badarpura. The Food Box location has been planned since December 2020.
